The Rainbow Project, Derry

A regional health and wellbeing charity working across NI to improve the lives of LGBTQIA+ people and their families and support networks, The Rainbow Project has two centres (one in Belfast, the other in Derry) and 70 registered members aged 12-18 within Rainbow Youth who participate in a range of different groups, services and activities.  The Derry Project sought funding towards hosting an exhibition in the Guildhall to uncover previously untold stories and experiences of people in Derry during the HIV and AIDS crisis.  The Committee agreed an HIS grant of £1,500 towards story-telling workshops, recording, editing and programming of the exhibition as detailed in the application.
