Tullyally Community Partnership, Derry (Working towards a better community)

Establishing a Men’s Shed earlier in the year – in response to residents’ desire to have something for the well-being of the local male community, Tullyally Community Partnership applied for funding towards the cost of equipment to assist the group with their many activities.  Cllr Darren Guy declared an interest as Chairman of the group.  But Cllr Niree McMorris also knew the group well and, on her recommendation, the Committee agreed an Irish Society grant of £1,000 towards art and wood working equipment; gardening tools; tea/coffee making facilities; recreational items (dart board, pool table, etc) and advertising the Shed.
