Dedicated to challenging the attitudes and beliefs that contribute to violence against women and girls in Northern Ireland, White Ribbon NI’s approach involves actively involving men and boys as part of the solution – collaborating with football teams, GAAs, PSNI, youth clubs and schools, and expanding their efforts to work within prisons and engaging men in custody. White Ribbon planned to conduct a pilot program specifically designed for older men and sought funding to help equip two new staff members with laptops, mobile phones and office supplies enabling them to work remotely all over Northern Ireland. The Committee was happy to endorse a grant of £1,500 from The Clothworkers’ NI Fund for this purpose.
